Social Action Circle
Circle Leader: Karen Reed
We take our role as citizens of the community and citizens of the world very seriously, and strive to make a difference in both. TLCUU is conspicuous in its St. Anne’s Hill neighborhood, participating in community yard sales, neighborhood cleanups, and other activity; in the Dayton area as part of a multi-church effort to provide baby-shower gifts for single mothers and to rally for (and celebrate a successful campaign for!) marriage equality; to welcome and support immigrants, to take part in the city’s Dia De Los Muertos parade and celebration, to be prominent in Dayton’s Pride Parade and events, to support financially other non-partisan organizations that work for the dignity and welfare of all, especially those marginalized by society.
If you’re passionate about activities like this, the Social Action Circle can use your help and energy.
