From Your Pastor: Rev. Mary H. Reaman, D. Min.
What a wonderful 8th Anniversary & Appreciation Celebration we had on September 7! Thank you again for making TLC such a wonderful and loving spiritual home! I am happy to say WE HAVE SO MUCH GOING ON!! Please read the wholeLeaflet and PRINT IT OUT so you have a list of upcoming events and happenings!
In light of how much we have going on right now I am asking for your patience in terms of my availability for individual appointments and visits. I am happy to put appointments in my calendar, but my first availability for appointments is after October 15, unless it is an emergency of course! After the painting of the building and UPLIFT, my calendar will open up a bit again, but until then I ask for you patience and understanding.
Peace and Good.
TLC MEMBER APPRECIATION!
Each month the Leaflet will highlight one or two Tree of Life Community members, who have generously shared their gifts with our community!
This month please join me in showing appreciation for Alex Moreda! I was remiss at our Appreciation Celebration to recognize Alex Moreda as our Facilities Circle Leader and for lending us his general knowledge, wisdom, and cost-cutting ways to take care of our building! Thank you Alex for all you’ve done and are doing to give Tender Loving Care to our facility!
MEMBERS IN NEED OF TLC: At times we all need a little help and a couple of our members could use some! Jackie Henkle has recently been in the hospital and needs our prayers, good thoughts, and well-wishes! If you have a minute please send Jackie and Anita a message of support. As many of you know, Jackie lives with MS and has difficulty getting out and about. Jackie could use some help with transportation to and from medical appointments and because she is often home-bound she welcomes visitors! If you are able to help with any of these needs please contact Anita and Jackie via email email@example.com or via cell at (937)335-2418.
COMMUNITY BUSINESS NEWS!
Circle Leader Meeting
Sunday, October 5th – in lieu of Tree Talk.
As we move into the final quarter of the year we complete an election cycle which means we will be electing new board members and inviting new leadership into open Circle Leader positions at our Annual Community Meeting onSunday, December 7th. The TLC Board will also need to know if current Circle Leaders intend to remain a Circle Leader for the next year or if you will have a replacement to begin with the new board in January 2015. Any TLC member is welcome to attend the Circle Leaders meeting and committee members are encouraged to attend as there will be time for the committee to do some planning together and share with the wider community what you are up to!
Larry Lain, TLC Treasurer, is looking forward to sharing our vision for the next fiscal year and the opportunities to contribute your wisdom, wealth and work toward making our dreams come true! We are growing nicely into our new digs together and we are bringing new life to each other, our building and our neighborhood! Let’s keep the momentum going!
In order to make it easier for the giving and receiving of pledge contributions, we will have computers and paperwork ready and available after Sunday Gatherings throughout October for those who would like to take advantage of automatic withdrawal/payment. Thank you for the many ways you continue to contribute to the vibrancy of our community!
